Lacrosse Recruiting Link Added to CGASPORTS.COM

With the recent announcement of Coast Guard Academy men’s and women’s lacrosse being elevated to varsity status in the 2014-2015 Academic year, both sports have been added to the “RECRUIT ME” section of the website.

Prospective lacrosse student-athletes can now go to and fill out the questionnaire for their sport which will go directly to the head coaches of the respective programs as the recruiting process begins for the first varsity season.

The men’s club team is coming off an outstanding season in which the Bears earned a trip to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) national tournament, won a first round game against Sam Houston State 19-8 before losing to eventual champion, University of St. Thomas 18-8 and finished the season 12-3.

The women’s club team finished the 2013 season at 7-5, with three of the five losses coming from nationally ranked Division I teams. A strong all-around team with incredible talent and skill, the Bears outscored their opponents by an average of seven goals. With only one senior graduating, the team looks to continue their success next season.
