Fellman Named CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week

Coast Guard Academy women's soccer junior goalkeeper Devin Fellman has been named the CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week as she kept her team in a pair of games against teams tied for first place in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) with an eye-popping 20 saves in each game.

Fellman was outstanding last week making 40 total saves, 20 in each game as the Bears, winless in the NEWMAC, played a pair of teams tied for first place in the conference. She made 20 saves in a 1-0 double overtime loss at Springfield and then added 20 more in a 3-1 loss at MIT.

Coast Guard was outshot 69-9 in the two games.

Fellman had 72 saves in 11 games entering last week before putting up the back-to-back 20 save performances. She now has 112 saves this season which is sixth all-time in a season at the Coast Guard Academy.
