Shermot Named CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week

Coast Guard Academy freshman Mike Shermot has been named the CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week as he won the 165 pound weight class in his collegiate debut at the season-opening Messiah Invitational on Saturday.

Shermot, who was seeded third in the tournament, won all four matches posting wins by scores of 22-13, 12-7, 10-6 and 12-6 in the championship match as Coast Guard placed sixth of nine teams.
