Coast Guard Trio Are Part of NCAA Committees

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Three members of the Coast Guard Academy athletics staff are part of NCAA committees while two of those will serve as committee chairs during the upcoming year.

Tim Fitzpatrick, Director of Athletics, will chair the Division III Men's Basketball Committee. He is in his final year of a four-year team with his specific responsibility being the Northeast Region.

Dr. Dan Rose, Senior Associate Athletic Director and Director of Physical Education at the Academy, is the chair of the NCAA Men's and Women's Track & Field Rules Committee, and will serve on the committee through the 2018-19 academic year.

Bill Randall, Director of Rowing and head coach of the men's rowing team, is in the first year of a four-year team as a member of the Division III Women's Rowing committee.

"Tim, Dan and Bill are top notch administrators and educators, and their selection represents a unique way they can serve the public by working to improve college athletics for our nation while also developing Coast Guard Academy students into leaders of character for the Coast Guard."
