Freshman Kaitlyn Mooney ran to a fourth place finish, earning All-America status, at the NCAA Division III National Championship. She crossed the finish line in 20:48.3 becoming the top freshman finisher since 2013 when Noelle Olson of St. Olaf finished in second place. Her fourth place finish is also tops in program history.

Mooney finished the season winning five of the seven races she entered and setting both the 5K and 6K program record. She earned NEWMAC Runner of the Year honors, NEWMAC Rookie of the Year honors and was a four times NEWMAC runner of the week this year. She was also named USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week after her performance at the Saratoga Invitational.
