Kevin is currently in his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Coast Guard Academy. 

Colasurdo comes to the Coast Guard Academy after spending three years at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital serving as an athletic trainer for local high schools and working in the area of therapeutic fitness for the New London Fire Department and L&M Outpatient Care. 

Prior to L&M, Kevin spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Southern New Hampshire University, working primarily with the Men’s soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams.

In 2007, Colasurdo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Athletic Training from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.  Kevin also earned a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration in Global Studies from Southern New Hampshire University in 2009.

Colasurdo is a licensed athletic trainer in Connecticut while holding his BOC certificate.  He also holds certification as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES) and Functional Movement Screening (FMS).
