Title: Media Relations Assistant

Bill begins his third year as the Media Relations Assistant at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Mullins comes from Eastern Connecticut State University where he spent three and a half years as a Sports Information assistant. Prior to that, he spent two and a half years working as an assistant at the University of Connecticut in the Athletic Communications Department.

He assists in overseeing the day-to-day publicity of the Bears’ 25 intercollegiate sports and maintains the department’s website.

Mullins holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Eastern Connecticut State University.

He also has a background coaching softball including spending the 2014 season as the pitching coach for Coast Guard. His previous coaching experience came at the University of Connecticut (2 years), Eastern Connecticut State University (3 years), and Mitchell College (1 year).

While at Eastern Connecticut, Mullins helped oversee the Warriors' return to dominance of as the team went 118-16-1 winning a pair of Division III New England Championships, six league championships (3 regular season, 3 tournament), and finishing in the top eight of the season-ending NFCA Coaches' Poll in each of his three seasons. He was also a two-time member of the NFCA Division III New England Regional Coaching Staff of the Year (2010, 2011).
