LT Beth Nakagawa is in her fourth season at the United States Coast Guard Academy as an assistant coach.
Nakagawa is a 2007 graduate of the Coast Guard, where she was a four-year letterwinner and a team captain as a senior for Coach Grant.
She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at the Academy before earning her Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois during the summer of 2013.
LT Nakagawa has served as a Student Engineer on the CGC Rush (2007-09) and as a project manager for the CEU Oakland (2009-11).
She currently is on a teaching Assignment at the Coast Guard Academy, teaching Statics and Engineer Design as well as a Civil Engineering Materials Class and Lab.
