Tim, a 1992 graduate from the Academy, joined the athletics division in 2010 as the Assistant Athletic Director and Business Manager.

After five years active duty in the Coast Guard, he spend the next 13 years both in the business world and also working for himself. Tim now leads the efforts for the athletic division on all budget, finance, contracting, and facility related matter.

Opstrup holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and an MBA From Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  He lives in Madison, CT with his wife and two sons.
