NEW LONDON, Conn. – Coast Guard junior Jeremy Lhotka has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Baseball Athlete of the Week.
Lhotka had an impressive week for the Bears hitting .571 (12-21) with a .667 OBP and .762 slugging percentage. He had four multi-hit games, including a pair of three hits games, while also hitting safely in all six games during the week.
He compiled nine runs, seven RBI's, with two doubles and one triple while adding three extra base hits totaling 16 bases during the week.
Lhotka is hitting .358 on the season with 16 RBI's and 17 runs scored.
Coast Guard is back in action on Wednesday in a NEWMAC game at MIT at 3:30.
