NEW LONDON, Conn. –  Freshman Dan Wolf pitched a complete game in his first collegiate start and allowed just one run on two hits as Coast Guard beat Pine Manor 6-1 in non-conference game.

Wolf (1-0), who allowed both hits in the second inning, walked one and struck out four to pick up the win. Coast Guard improves to 16-18 overall while Pine Manor drops to 7-23.

Senior pitcher Jack Brandt made his first career start at first base and led the Bears with two hits and RBI and a stolen base.

Coast Guard scored twice in the first as Luke Thompson led off with a double and later scored on a passed ball and Jeremy Lhotka added a sacrifice fly.

The Gators would get their only run of the game in the second as Isaiah Mack doubled and scored on an RBI single by Yaxander Baez.

Brandt had an RBI single in the second to push the lead to 3-1.

Coast Guard added three insurance runs in the fourth as Luke Thompson drove in a run with a fielder's choice before the Bears added a pair of unearned runs on a dropped fly ball to close the scoring.

Wolf was outstanding as he retired the last 10 batter that he faced and retired 12 straight earlier in the game.

Coast Guard closes the season on Tuesday when they host Mitchell at 3:30.
