NEW LONDON, Conn. – A trio of Coast Guard Academy men's lacrosse players were named to the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division II Scholar-Athlete team.
Senior E.J. Schmid (Management), junior Nick Chicoine (Government) and freshman Jeff Bors (Mechanical Engineering) earned the honor from the MCLA.
Schmid was named to the team for the second straight season.
To earn MCLA scholar athlete program recognizes individual playing and academic excellence, the awards are given to players designated to their conference's first or second all conference team that have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) through the Spring of 2014.
