The Coast Guard men's lacrosse program wrapped up their trip to Annapolis, Maryland this past weekend where they lost a hard fought double overtime game to rival Merchant Marine at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on the Naval Academy campus. The game was played in conjunction with the annual Army Navy game.
Sophomore LSM Connor Ellis gave an inside look on the trip and wraps up the weekend below.
All an all this weekend was incredible. Even though the game didn't go in our favor, the opportunity was surreal. Being able to look up into the stands of a huge stadium and witnessing the sea of orange in the crowd was something I'll never forget.
I'm sure I can speak for everyone on the team when I say that. I'd like to say thanks for everyone who made this weekend possible; from the CGA athletic department, CGA alumni, our coaches, Mr. Duddy, and all of the fans that have given us incredible support. Your help in this has made an incredible experience for all of us to remember forever.
We're already looking forward to next years match up at West Point. I'd hope that for future classes, that this tradition carries on for many more years to come.
