NEW LONDON, Conn. - Sophomore Riley McNulty was named to the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Northeast All-Region team this past week.
McNulty becomes the first player in program history to be recognized by the IMLCA earning second team All-Region honors as a midfielder.
This wraps up a year of accolades for McNulty as he was a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, a NEILA Second Team midfielder and a First Team All-NEWMAC selection. He was named conference offensive player of the week three times and became the first player in program history to score 100 points. He is the career leader in points (133) and holds the teams single season records in points (71), goals (44) and assists (27).
It was an impressive year for the men's lacrosse program that saw them win a record 14 games, make the NEWMAC Championship game and top the eventual Division III National Champions, Wesleyan, during the regular season 10-9 in overtime. The Bears graduate only three seniors and look to build on the 2018 success.
