NEW LONDON, Conn.-- Junior Riley McNulty has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) co-offensive athlete of the week following his performances in the Bears 2-0 week.
McNutly had a record-breaking night in the Bears 14-9 victory over NY Maritime on Wednesday night. He scored seven goals and added three assists to break the single-game record for points as well as becoming the first player in program history to score 100 goals, with his fifth goal of the night. McNulty also led the Bears with four goals in their 12-11 overtime victory against rival Merchant Marine on Saturday afternoon.
McNulty currently leads the Bears and the NEWMAC with 32 points and is first on the team and third in the conference with 23 goals. He is also 25th in the country with 5.33 points per game.
The Bears are back in action at home on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM against Connecticut College.
