NEW LONDON, Conn.--Junior Kyle Grell had a goal and an assist as Coast Guard shutout Massachusetts Maritime 4-0 in a non-conference game.
The Bears, winners of three of their last four, improve to 5-3 on the season while Mass. Maritime drops to 4-3-1 on the year.

Junior Robert Copeland added a header of his own off a corner kick from sophomore Matthew Bogdan in the 21st minute to increase the lead to 3-0. It was Bogdans' team-leading fourth assist of the season.
Junior Matt Epperly tallied his first goal of the season in the 62nd minute when he took a cross from Grell as the Bears took a 4-0 lead.
Coast Guard outshot Mass. Maritime 12-5.
