The Coast Guard Academy men's soccer team has cracked the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III New England Regional Top 10 poll after going 8-1-1 in its last ten games. Coast Guard is tied for 10th in the poll with Roger Williams.
The Bears, 11-4-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) will play for its first NEWMAC regular season championship at Saturday at Babson at 1 p.m. The Bears and Babson are tied for first at 4-0-1 in the conference entering the final game of the regular season.
Senior co-captain Greg Kennerley leads the team 13 points, (4 goals and 5 assists) while sophomore goalkeeper Richie Burns has been outstanding in net posting a 10-2-1 record with five shutouts.
