CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-Sophomore Jasen Kingsley scored the game-tying goal with just 2:34 to play but it wasn’t enough as the Coast Guard men’s soccer team was eliminated by MIT on Penalty Kicks in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference semi-finals.

Double Overtime Golden Again for Men’s Soccer
NEW LONDON, Conn.-Junior John Tarzian scored with 7:53 to go in double overtime and the Coast Guard men’s soccer team defeated Springfield 2-1 in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Tournament first round match-up on Tuesday night at the CGA Track and Field Complex.

PATCHOGUE, N.Y.-The Coast Guard men’s soccer team played to a 1-1, double overtime tie SUNY-New Paltz to open the St. Joseph’s Tournament in Patchogue, N.Y. before ultimately falling on penalty kicks. With the tie, Coast Guard moved their record to 1-0-1 on the season while SUNY-New Paltz moved their record to 0-1-1.

Bears dominant in opener against Southern Maine
NEW LONDON, Conn.-Seniors Joe Bodzewski and Robert Copeland each registered their first goals of the season and the Coast Guard men’s soccer team opened up their 2013 campaign with a 2-0 victory over the University of Southern Maine. Senior Matt Epperly was involved in both scoring chances for the Bears as he recorded a pair of assists on the night.
