Bears Pickup Road win at MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Robbie Fugett and Seth Anderson each scored goals leading Coast Guard to a 2-0 win over Mass. College of Liberal Arts in the opening round of the MCLA Tournament.

The game was scoreless at halftime before Fugett put the Bears on the board in the 56th minute. The Bears pushed the lead to 2-0 on Anderson's goal in the 78th minute with Noah Engstrom adding the first assist of his collegiate career.

Coast Guard outshot the Trailblazers 19-8.

James Morrison made four saves to record the shutout and his first career win for Coast Guard in his first game of the season this year. Sam Edge had three saves in goal for MCLA.

The Bears (1-1) are back in action tomorrow when they take on Elms at noon to close out the tournament.
