FLUSHING, N.Y.—NYU won every match for a 8-0 win over Coast Guard at the National Tennis Center, the final contest of the season for the Bears.
The closet doubles match was at #2 as Mark Guentert and Weston Fortna lost 9-8, 7-4 in the tiebreaker.
Fortna did win the long first set at #4 singles 7-6, 11-9 in the tiebreaker, but they did not complete that match as NYU won the other five singles matches in straight sets for the win.
Coast Guard finishes the season 4-12.
