Bears Win Regular Season Finale; Earn #3 Seed in NEWMAC Tournament

WINCHESTER, Mass. – Coast Guard secured the third-seed and spot in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament semifinals with a 7-2 win over Emerson in the regular season finale.

The Bears finish the regular season 8-7 overall and 4-2 in the NEWMAC. Coast Guard will play at second-seeded Babson in the NEWMAC semifinals on May 1st.

In a match moved indoors due to overbooking an outdoor facility, the Bears would sweep the doubles play as Tom Hackett and Kyle Fager won 8-7 at #1 doubles, Chris Lansing and Lucas Arora were 8-3 winners at #2 doubles and Arthur Wicke and Ryan Casey won 8-4 at #3 doubles.

Emerson would win both #1 and #2 singles, but Fager won 6-3, 6-1 at #3 singles, Lansing won 8-2 at #4 singles, Arora was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at #5 singles and Casey posted a 6-4, 6-3 win at #6 singles for the Bears.
