Scalesse Wins 60 Hurdles to Lead Bears at Tufts
MEDFORD, Mass.—Junior All-American Adam Scalesse won the 60 meter hurdles leading Coast Guard to a ninth place finish of 20 teams at the Tufts Stampede
Scalesse won the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.24 beating the field by over three tenths of a second.
Junior Ben Wohlhaupter was third in the pole vault (15 feet, one inch) while junior Clay Kosack was fourth in the heptathlon with 4,206 points as he won both the pole vault (12 feet, 9.5 inches) and the 1,000 meter (2:50.28) events within the heptathlon.
Also for the Bears sophomore Ben Hannon was fourth in the 200 meters (23.20) and eighth in the 400 meters (51.72), junior Jordan Lee was fourth in the 800 meters (1:57.95) while sophomore Joe Kelly was seventh (1:59.64) and junior Thomas Bondurant (47-3.75) and senior Will Baker (46-5.5) placed eighth and ninth in the weight throw.
