Scalesse Wins ECAC Championship in 60 Meter Hurdles; Bears Place 6th

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior All-American Adam Scalesse won the 60 meter hurdles Division III ECAC Championship edging out his rival All-American Terrance Gibson from Worcester State  for the first time this season leading the Bears to sixth place finish at the ECAC Division III Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track.

Scalesse ran an 8.12 while Gibson ran a 8.13 in the 60 hurdles.

Senior Gary Ezzo placed second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:57.10.

The men's 4x400 relay team also took second place with teammates Ben Hannon, James Dawkins, Kelcey Smith, and Scalesse with a time of 3:20.12.

Senior Ben Wolhaupter took 4th in the pole vault clearing a bar at 15'1.75".

The Men's DMR made up of James Martin, Andrew Scheffey, Ben Chapman, and Brad Pienta took sixth place running 10:24.90.

The Bears 4x800 relay team of Martin, Scheffety, Ryan Hub and Chapman placed eighth in 8:05.18 to earn All-ECAC honors.
