BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The men's 4x400 ran the sixth fastest time in the prelims qualifying them for the finals at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship.

Juniors Jacob Pawlina (49.43) and Benjamin Taminger (49.07) and seniors Luke Rehfuss (49.75) and Raeford Penny (48.25) finished in 3:16.64 securing themselves a spot in the finals. Pawlina, Rehfuss and Penny qualified for the NCAA Championship last season but were unable to make it to the finals.

Finals will be split into two heats. The Bears will be battling for their best finish in the event in school history and, as long as they finish, they will earn All-American honors for the first time in each of their careers. When the relay crosses the line it will be the first time in program history, indoor or outdoors, that a relay has earned All-America honors and the first time indoors since Adam Scalese earned the honors in 2014 in the 60m hurdles.

The race will take place tomorrow, March 9th, at 6:05 ET. Watch the race HERE.
