Bears Compete at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, Conn.-- Coast Guard men's track and field competed in the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman James Duren finished in first place in both the 200M and the 400M. He clocked in a time of 23.17 in the 200M and a 51.31 time in the 400M.

Sophomore Josiah Davis finished first overall in the 600M at 1:22.67. Junior Andre Gallant and senior Colton Atkinson finished in the top two spots in the 3000M. Gallant finished in 8:52.27, while Atkinson followed at 8:59.15.

Adam Jibril-Barnes completed the 60H with a first place finish at 8.60 to qualify for NIII New England's.

The 4x400 relay of Duren, Miguel Moroles, Davis, and Daniel Taglianetti took a top finish with a time of 3:31.62.

Junior Ben Zarlengo finished second overall in the weight throw at 17.77m (58' 3.75")

Coast Guard is back in action next weekend at the Dave Henry invitational at Boston University and the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.
