Men's Track Places 4th at NEWMAC Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --  Ben Zarlengo won the hammer (176 feet, 3 inches) and was second in the discus (141 feet, 4 inches) to lead Coast Guard to a 4th place finish at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Springfield College.

MIT won with 275 points, WPI was second with 183 points, Springfield (107 points) edged the Bears (105 points) for third place.

Also earning All-conference honors for the Bears were James Duren with a second place finish in the 400 meters (50.90) and the Bears 4x400 relay of Duren, Miguel Moroles, Alex Jung and Sydney Johnson (3:28.23).
