HANOVER, Ind.--Senior Gary Ezzo closed out his collegiate career by placing 126th of 275 runners at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
Ezzo finished with a time of 26:06.3 and was the 24th runner from New England to cross the finish line.
Earlier in the season, he earned All-New England honors for the second straight season a 17th place finish with a time of 25:09 as Coast Guard finished 10th, its best finish since 2005 when the Bears placed ninth as a team.
Ezzo earned All-conference honors for the third straight season as he placed third for the second straight season leading Coast Guard to a second place finish at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship meet.
He was the first Coast Guard runner since 2006 to earn a spot in the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
