WATERFORD, Conn. – The Bears ran to a seventh place finish at the Connecticut College Cross Country Invitational.
MIT won the meet with 49 points followed by host Conn. College in second place with 95 points.
Coast Guard's top finisher was junior Gilliam Hill who ran into the top 25 with a 22nd place finish in 25:56.0. Sophomore Kevin Petow was not far behind as he crossed the line in 26:03.1 in 29th place.
Rounding out the scoring for the Bears was junior Zachary Velasquez who covered the 8k course in 26:44 good enough for a 61st place finish.
The top five for Coast Guard were all separated by less than a minute.
The Bears are off next weekend and return to action on Sunday, November 1st at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conferece (NEWMAC) Championships.
