BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Andre Gallant was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 11th leading the Bears to a third place finish of 38 teams at the 45th annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
Gallant ran the 8K course in 26:41 while senior Alex Kearney (26:55) was 22nd, senior Colton Atkinson (27:10) was 25th, sophomore Matt Doyle (27:23) placed 34th, sophomore Adam VanDeren (27:27) was 40th, junior Jacob McGlumphy (27:30) was 41st and freshman Ryan Von Brock (27:33) was 44th for the Bears.
Ramapo won with 109 points, Swathmore was second with 127 followed by the Bears with 132.
The Paul Short Run is the largest intercollegiate cross country meet in the nation with approximately 6,000 athletes from nearly 450 colleges and high schools competing this year.
The Bears are back in action on Oct. 13th at the Conn. College Invitational at Harkness Park in Waterford.
