HARTFORD, Conn. -- Jacob McGlumphy was the top Coast Guard finisher leading the Bears to a fourth place finish at the season opening Trinity Invitational.
McGlumphy placed 15th overall with a time of 17:16.9 while Matt Doyle was right behind him in 16th place with a time of 17:22.5.
Also for the Bears, Greg Costello (17:32) was 19th, Logan Bonner (17:33.) was 20th, Joseph Roth (17:34.9) 22nd, Thomas Jordon (17:39.7) was 23rd and Ross Kolko (17:46) was the final scoring runner as he placed 24th.
"This was a solid first meet out for the guys. There were some good competition that helped really push our team during the second half of the race. It was great to see many of our guys pushing each other with some tight packs," said head coach Ethan Brown.
The Bears are back in action on September 21st at the Bowdoin Invitational.
