NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Coast Guard Academy men's cross country team placed a program record nine runners on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-conference team.
The nine cadet-athletes named to the team this year bested the previous best of six in 2008 and 2014.
Seniors Thomas Jordon (Electrical Engineering), Andrew Segalla (Government) and junior Logan Bonner (Civil Engineering) earned All-Academic honors for the second time in their careers.
Junior Dominic Roberts (Management) was named to the team for the first time while sophomores William Anderson (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering), Greg Costello (Marine and Environmental Sciences), Jeffrey Meyer (Operations Research and Computer Analysis), Ryan Von Brock (Electrical Engineering) and Peter White (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering) earned All-Academic honors in their first year of eligibility.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2019 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at his institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
