Seven colleges participated, Canisius College, PSU-ROTC, Penn State University, Wentworth, MIT, Coast Guard and Yale.
Junior co-captain Alexis Chavarria-Aguilar led the Bears with a combined score over two-days of 2259, firing a 561 smallbore and 564 air rifle the first day, and 565 smallbore and 569 air rifle the second.
In conjunction with the Bean-Pot Tournament, a Collegiate Rifle Sectional was held. Freshman Nicholas Paisker won the Gold Medal in Air Rifle with a personal best 572. Chavarria-Aguilar won a Silver Medal in Smallbore (561) and a Bronze Medal in Air Rifle (564).
The Bears placed second behind host MIT, losing both disciplines, smallbore 4312 to 4321 and air rifle 4469 to 4491.
Senior co-captain Daniela Andrade, Nicholas Paisker, Alexis Chavarria-Aguilar, Co-captain junior Marek Pilarski, and sophomore Katiya Resney were members of Coast Guard's five-man team in both disciplines.
The Bears compete at home this weekend, facing SUNY Maritime on Saturday.
