Feindel Fires No-Hitter; Bears Sweep

KISSIMMEE, FLA.--(3/5/12)--Senior All-American Hayley Feindel fired the ninth no-hitter of her magnificent career moved into sixth place on the Division III all-time wins list with a pair of victories as the Bears, ranked 13th nationally, beat Husson 7-0 and Albion 3-0 at the Rebel Games to improve to 4-0 on the young season.

Feindel now has 107 wins, the all-time Division III leader Erica Hoyt (Muskinghum) is the all-time leader with 120 career victories

In the opener, Feindel did not walk a batter and struck out 11 and recorded a no-hitter in the 7-0 win over Husson.

Freshman Chloe Harmon had an RBI double in the second in her first collegiate at bat and junior Summer Dupler added an RBI single for a 2-0 lead.

In the 4th inning the Bears, singled five times and scored five more runs for the 7-0 lead.

Harmon was the offensive standout, going 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored.

In the second game of the day, Feindel allowed just a pair of singles, did not walk a batter and struck out 15 in the win over Albion.

Sophomore Devin Fellman had RBI singles in both the first and third innings and the Bears added an unearned run in the fifth to close the scoring.
