NIRC Honors Ten Bear Rowers

WORCESTER, Mass. – The National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC) has announced the recipients of the regatta's postseason awards and two cadet-athletes were named to the All-Stewards team while nine earned All-Academic honors.

Junior Logan Hutson and senior Laura Beck were named to the All-Stewards team while sophomore Michael Brachmann (Marine & Environmental Science), sophomore Stephen Bruno (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering), sophomore Walter Daniels (Operations Research and Computer Analysis), sophomore Ian Hopper (Mechanical Engineering), sophomore Andrew Niedbala (Civil Engineering), sophomore Michael Rosenberg (Operations Research and Computer Analysis) junior and John Paul Yalov (Mechanical Engineering), earned All-Academic honors on the men's side and Beck (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering) and senior Megan Sackett (Electrical Engineering) were honored on the women's team.

For a student-athlete to be recognized to the NIRC All-Academic Team they must have completed one full-year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.35 and be recognized as a varsity letter winner.
