Sullivan, Remke, Aeberli Move into National Rankings

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Senior Chris Sullivan, junior Nick Remke and sophomore AJ Aeberli have all been ranked in their weight class in the most recent poll by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

Sullivan, wrestling at 157, is currently ranked eighth in the country by the NWCA. He has started off the year 13-2 with five pins. Sullivan has a first place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational followed by a third place finish at the Doug Parker Invitational and a second place finish at the Ted Reese Invitational. He is currently first in New England at 157 as well.

Remke, competing at 165, is ranked fourth in the country at 165 after a 13-3 start to the season with three pins. He has a first place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational and the Doug Parker Invitational. Remke is the top ranked wrestler at 165 in New England.

Aeberli jumps into the national rankings for the first time in his career in the six spot at 174 pounds. He has started the year 13-2 with two pins. He was third at the Roger Williams Invitational and the Doug Parker Invitational before her earned his first top finish of the season with a victory at the Ted Reese Invitational.

The Bears are back in action on Monday, December 18th, when they take part in the Washington & Lee Duals with matches against Ohio Northern, Olivet and Kings.
