Foley Named Assistant Wrestling Coach

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Dylan Foley has been named assistant wrestling coach at the Coast Guard Academy.

Foley has been an assistant wrestling coach at his alma mater Springfield College for the past three seasons, serving as a graduate assistant last season, where he coached five NCAA national qualifiers during those three years.

During the last three years, he also served as a coach of the Baystate Wrestling Club and was an assistant lacrosse coach at Longmeadow High.

Foley was a two-time NWCA Scholar All-American and the 2015 New England Wrestling Association Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year and a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American.

He qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships for the second time in his career during his senior season after winning the NCAA Northeast Regional title at the 165 pound weight class. In 2014, Foley earned All-America honors after placing sixth at the NCAA Championships at 165 pounds.

Foley has also served as a clinician for the past five years at the MetroWest Wrestling Club.
