NEW LONDON, Conn.--Twin sisters sophomores Kayla Lynch and Bridget Lynch each scored a goal leading Lasell to a 2-0 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference game, the home opener for the Bears.
Kayla Lynch scored the only goal in the first half in the 26th minute when she headed home a ball off a cross from junior Jamie Osterberg for the 1-0 lead.
Bridget Lynch closed the scoring in the 82nd minute with senior Reegan Brackett assisting for the Lasers, who improve to 2-1 on the season.
Sophomore Leah Pappalardo (2-1) made nine saves to pickup her first shutout of the season.
Coast Guard junior Devin Fellman (0-2) made ten saves for the Bears, who outshot Lasell 11-10.
The Bears (0-2) had their best opportunity with 15:31 left in the game when junior Judy Hooymans' shot went off the crossbar.
Coast Guard will travel to Nichols on Thursday for a 4 p.m. game.
