Women's Soccer to Host WPI in NEWMAC Tournament on Tuesday at 7:00

The Coast Guard women's soccer team, seeded fourth, will host fifth-seeded WPI in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday night at 7:00. It will be the first NEWMAC tournament home game in program history.

The Bears won a school-record 10 games this season and are 10-6-1 overall and finished 6-3-1 in the conference to earn the #4 seed. The six conference wins are also a single-season school record.

Junior Claire Hurley leads Coast Guard with 10 goals and a single-season school record nine assists. Her 29 points this season tie the Bears single-season record and are the second most in the NEWMAC.

Coast Guard beat WPI 2-1 on Sept. 22nd this season. The winner of this quarterfinal will play at top-seeded MIT on Thursday.
