MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Coast Guard women's swim team fell to Wesleyan University in non-conference action today 181-112.

Senior Darlene Sao led the way for the Bears winning the 100 yard freestyle (55.75) 200 yard freestyle (2:00.26), and the 200 yard IM (2:16.26).

The only other winner for Coast Guard was junior Patti Eidenire in the 50 meter freestyle in 25.33.

Freshman Maddie Heist was second in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:43.66) and the 500 yard freestyle touching the wall in 5:43.05. Sophomore Kaitlyn Toth was second in the 200 yard butterfly (2:20.46), and freshman Vicky Talens followed up Sao in the 100 yard freestyle clocking a time of 56.56

The 200 yard freestyle relay team of freshman Jackie Kokomoor, junior Carly Campbell, junior Patti Eidenire, and Talens snatched up the final second place of the day in a time of 1:43.63.

The Bears return to action at the NEWMAC championships starting on February 19th hosted by WPI.
