INDIANOPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee officially announced the schedule for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Coast Guard Academy women's 800 freestyle relay (3/23) has qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on March 21-24 in Indianapolis.

The 800 freestyle relay of freshman Emily Benson, junior Kristen Young, freshman Sarah Passilla and junior Christine McCulla won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship with a school record time of 7:34.41, the 12th fastest time in Division III this season.

Once invited to the NCAA Championship swimmers may compete in other events. This relay team will also swim the 200 (3/22) and 400 (3/24) freestyle relays while Benson will also swim the 1,650 freestyle (3/24).

The championships will be held March 21-24 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corporation will serve as co-hosts. A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships.

Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets March 2-3. The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available here.
