Gollin, Trudeau Lead Bears

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/14/12)--Freshman Beth Gollin won the 1,500 meters (4:54.02) and took second in the 800 meters (2:26.01) while sophomore Emily Trudeau won the shot put (37-1.75) and was second in the discus (112-01) to lead the Bears in a home meet with Springfield and WPI.

Springfield won with 148 points, WPI was second with 144 while Coast Guard finished with 94 points.

Also for the Bears, Elizabeth Flint won the triple jump (35-0.25) and Kyle Sutschek won the discus with a toss of 112 feet, eight inches.

Alexa Hunko was second in the shot put (35-4), Moira McNeil was second in the 5,000 meters (20:24.24), Hannah Seeland was third in the hammer (126-06) and Abby Bishop was third in both the 100 hurdles (16.24) and the long jump (15-7.5).
