Women’s Track 5th at Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine-In a loaded field on the women's side at the Bowdoin Invitational junior Beth Gollin won an individual event and helped pace a relay team to a second place finish as the Coast Guard women's track and field team finished fifth in the five team field.

Gollin won the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:35.89 and helped the 4x800 relay team to a 10:13.37 finish, good for second place. Also on the relay team were senior Kristen Euchler and freshmen Bonny Turnage and Jennifer Haley.

Euchler took home a fourth place finish in the 600 meter run with a 1:43.24 result while Turnage claimed third with a time of 2:28.81 in the 800 meter run.

In the field events senior Hannah Seeland placed third in the weight throw (47 feet 6.5 inches) and sophomore Monet Masters was fourth in the pole vault with a top height of 10 feet 6 inches.

Coast Guard returns to action on Friday, January 31st when they compete at the Tufts Invitational.
