BOSTON, Mass. – After a record setting day on Friday, the Coast Guard women's track & field team added to their tally by taking down the DMR record as the squad competed at the Dave Hemery and Gordon Kelly Invitational.

The quartet of junior Anita Green, sophomores Anna Beck and Adora Lawrence and freshman Kaitlyn Mooney ran to a ninth place finish in 11:54.54 obliterating the school record of 12:22.68 set back in 2013.

At the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT, Senior Gabbie Troise was the Bears top finisher, taking third place in the shot put with a throw of 38-4.25. Freshman Leilan Salag was right behind Troise with a heave of 36-.25. The duo also took fourth (50-4) and fifth (49-9) in the weight throw as well.

In the long jump, junior Kristina Bynum took seventh with a jump of 16-3.25.

On the track, Emma Sims was ninth (11:15.10) and senior Rachel Burchill was 11th (11:17.01) in the 3K. Freshman Molly Yuan was seventh in the 400 crossing the line 1:05.01.

Coast Guard is back in action next weekend at the Division III New England Championship hosted by Springfield. They will look to work their way into the top 10 this season after an 11th place finish last year.
