Bears Compete at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, Conn.-- Coast Guard women's track and field competed in the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Adora Lawrence had a first place finish for the Bears in the 600M at 1:38.14 to qualify for DIII New England's and the NEICAAA's.

Senior Anita Green finished in first place in the mile in 5:14.36. Sophomore Emma Sims and freshman Nayalina Tamariz were the top two performers in the 5000M. Sims finished first overall with a time of 19:18.29 and Tamariz followed behind at 19:23.67.

The 4x400 relay team of Lawrence, Mary Sims, Hannah Jamison, and Emma Sims finished first overall with their time of 4:22.09.

Sophomore Leilani Salang had a first place finish in the weight throw at 14.52m (47' 7.75").

Coast Guard is back in action next weekend at the Dave Henry invitational at Boston University and the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.
