Bears Set Records at Dave Hemery Invitational

Boston, Mass.-- A number of records were set tonight as women's track and field competed at the David Hemery Invitational at Boston University.

Kaitlyn Mooney posted a 16:27.30 in the 5K to break the Coast Guard record by 1:22. She posted the top time in DIII, and landed herself at the #2 performance of all time in DIII.

Junior Adora Lawrence ran a school record in the 400M crossing the line in 57.71. Senior Anita Green also set a school record in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:58.97

Junior Anna Beck and senior Kristina Bynum host the qualifying standard for DIII New England. Beck ran the 200M in 26.60 and Bynum reached 4.98m (16'4.25") in the long jump.

The 4x400M relay of Anna Beck, Maeve Roach, Caroline Jenkins, and Adora Lawrence ran a season best time of 4:02.13.

Members of the track and field team will compete again tomorrow in the second day of the David Hemery Invitational, while other members will compete in the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.
