MEDFORD, Mass. – The women's DMR of Anita Green, Anna Beck, Adora Lawrence and Kaitlyn Mooney shattered the school-record with a time of 11:44.06 at the Tufts Last Chance Qualifer to secure a berth at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships next weekend at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
Green ran at 3:40.08, Beck at 58.3, Lawrence a 2:18.3 and Mooney a 4:46.6 in the record breaking performance which is now the fourth best time in Division III this season, The quartet had the 11th best time at 11:52.52 entering the day.
Leilani Salang placed fifth in the weight throw as she tied her own school-record with a toss of 51 feet, 6.5 inches.
Kristina Bynum had a leap of 16 feet, 8.5 inches in the long jump to place fifth while Beck ran a personal best 26.8 seconds in the 200 meters.
On the men's side junior Ben Zarlengo placed third in the weight throw matching his season-best throw of 61 feet, 4.75 inches. He has the 12th best throw in Division III heading into the day and will compete next week at the NCAA Division III Championship.
