Dake Leads Bears to Win in Home Opener

NEW LONDON, Conn. –
Amanda Dake had match highs of 16 kills and 16 digs leading Coast Guard to its third straight win, a 3-0 win over Trinity in the Bears home opener.

Coast Guard won by game scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-19 to improve to 3-1 on the season, it was the season opener for Trinity.

Bridget Boyle added eight kills while Angelou Dunton added five kills and seven digs for Coast Guard in the win.

Noelle Tursky had a match-high 22 assists while Makenna Martin added 12 assists. Veronica Hine added nine digs for the Bears.

Locke Luhnow led the Bantams with six kills, eight assists and seven digs.

Coast Guard is back in action on Friday when the Bears host Johnson & Wales at 4:00 and Roger Williams at 8:00 in the CGA/Conn. College Invitational.
