Kazlas begins his first season as a member of the Bears coachingstaff.
He worked as an assistant women's volleyball coach for six monthsafter the 2011 season at Quinnipiac University.
Kazlas was a four-year member of the University of New Havenmen’s volleyball program. He served as the team’scaptain in his senior campaign, leading the team in severalstatistical categories. Kazlas posted the team’s highesthitting percentage (.291), kill per set average (2.46) and blocktotal (56), adding 40 digs, 16 assists and 10 aces in his finalseason. Kazlas was the recipient of the team’s Most ValuablePlayer Award at the end of the year.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Kazlas also coachedClub Lehigh Volleyball in Lower Macungie, Pa. For three years, hementored boys from the ages of 15 to 17, guiding them to severalnational tournament appearances during his tenure. He wasresponsible for developing volleyball skills through practice andcompetition, while assisting leagues, camps, clinics and otherevents offered by the Club.
Kazlas graduated from the University of New Haven in 2010 with adegree in English.
