Bears Have Historic Day at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa.-- Sophomore Laurel Felt ran the second fastest time in Coast Guard history in the 6k to lead women's cross country to a 16th overall finish at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Felt finished at 21:17 as she finished fourth overall in the College Brown Division to lead the Bears.

Junior Maeve Roach ran the sixth fastest time in Coast Guard history at 22:43, senior Kirsten Carson finished at 22:50 for the seventh fastest time in Coast Guard history.

Junior Mia Huncharek tied the eighth fastest time in CGA history at 22:51, and senior Olivia Suski ran the 10th fastest time in Coast Guard history at 22:55.

Junior Emma Sims finished at 23:10 and freshman Savannah Olyniec ran a time of 23:12.

The Bears average time over the 6k course was 22:32 which is 13 seconds faster than their 2018 time on this course.

Coast Guard is back in action on Saturday, October 19 at the Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn.
