NEW LONDON, Conn. – Devin McClure set a pool record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.78 and also won the 100 freestyle (46.96) leading No. 18 Coast Guard to a 157-131 win over Brandeis.
Marshall Seguin won the 1-meter diving with a score of 288.52 to qualify for the NCAA regional championship and also captured the 3-meter board with a score of 269.25 as Coast Guard swept the diving events.
Samuel Chapman won the 1,000 freestyle (10:06.84), Tyler Bland won the 100 breaststroke (59.48), Christian Lower won the 200 butterfly (2:01.15), Joe Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (20.81), CJ Omweg won the 200 backstroke (2:01.12), Eric Fuhs won the 200 breaststroke (2:13.57) for the Bears.
Coast Guard's 200 medley relay of Connor Shenk, Fuhs, Tyler Dominick and Rodriguez won with a time of 1:35.14.
The Bears (5-1) are back in action on Dec. 7th in the Connecticut Cup at Wesleyan.
